Tools for regulating the globalization of agriculture

Fanny Coustaline, 11 January 2014

[English] [français]

How does one reconcile the global trade in agricultural raw materials with the goals of sustainable development and the fight against poverty? closer collaboration between public and private actors in the process of elaborating and revising norms;
including developing countries in the decision-making process;
better coordination and integration of labels, to reduce the cost and complexity of multiple certifications;
finally, the development of tools to measure the real impact of so-called “sustainable” initiatives.
