Pierre-Marie Aubert is head of the Agriculture & Food Policy Initiative at the French academic think tank IDDRI. Specialised in landscape ecology and political economy, he works on the development of food system scenarios. In his work, he combines a biophysical approach to the functioning of food systems with an analysis of their socio-economic dimensions, in order to identify public policy levers and private trade solutions for greater sustainability.
